86,000 Vehicles Predicted to Leave Jakarta for New Year

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State-owned toll road operator PT Jasa Marga predicted 86,000 vehicles will leave Jakarta as the New Year`s Eve grows near. The flow of vehicles is estimated to move to Cikampek through Cikarang main toll road starting Friday, December 29.
"It is predicted 86,000 vehicles, 10 percent higher than the normal condition with 78,000, will mobilize," Jasa Marga’s AVP Corporate Communication Dwimawan Heru stated on Friday.

Heru explained that on Thursday, it was reported that more than 80,000 vehicles left Jakarta. This is 12.4 percent higher than normal traffic with 72,000 vehicles, he said.
PT Jasa Marga urged all road users to stall their travel since there is no operational restrictions for fright transportation for 2017 Christmas and 2018 New Year.
"And make sure your vehicles are in the best condition and they can operate well," Heru reminded.
