Police to Question Pakubuwono Spring Apartment Owners

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta Police plan to question the owners Pakubuwono Spring Apartment about the incident in the construction site that killed three workers and injured three others. 

The Jakarta Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Argo Yuwono said in Jakarta, Thursday that investigators have questioned three witnesses, including victims, regarding the collapse of a concrete podium.

The police have asked questions to experts about building specifications and safety regulations on the construction of the apartment.

Argo added that the police's forensic lab is still investigating the cause of the collapse. 

The podium of Pakubuwono Spring apartment in Kebayoran, South Jakarta, collapsed on the evening of December 26. The incident caused the deaths of three construction workers, while three others suffer injuries.

The victims are construction workers at the Tunas Jaya Sanur, which is tasked with building the Pakubuwono Spring Apartment.

The Jakarta Metro Police chief Sr. Comr. Raden Prabowo Argo Yuwono said on Wednesday that the incident started when eight workers were working on the wood fabrication and ceiling job at the podium area. Two other workers were painting the backside of the wall.
