TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Lombok International Airpot is temporarily closed from 10:37 a.m. to 12 p.m. today due to Mount Agung eruption in Bali.
“The decision refers to Notice to Airmen (Notam) B9033/17 in relation to Mount Agung eruption,” said I Gusti Ngurah Ardita, General Manager of state-owned airport operator PT Angkasa Pura I.

Lombok International Airport Meteorology Station Director Oral Sem Wilar explained that Mount Agung volcanic ash was spreading to the east and southeast of Lombok Island.
“If the wind heads to south and west, Bali airport will be closed,” he said.
Before the closure, Lombok International Airport was opened for flights from and to Lombok since 6 a.m. today. Local airlines Lion Air and Batik Air had resumed their operations. Meanwhile, flag carrier Garuda Indonesia and Citilink opted not to serve any flights.
