Jokowi Asks Jusuf Kalla to Become Witness at Daughter`s Wedding

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo or Jokowi said that Vice President Jusuf Kalla will be the witness to his daughter’s wedding, Kahiyang Ayu.

“Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Darmin Nasution will be the groom’s witness,” said President Jokowi at the Vice President’s official residence on Tuesday, October 31.

Jokowi paid a visit to Jusuf Kalla’s house to ask him to become the witness of Kahiyang Ayu’s wedding ceremony. During the 30 to 40 minute visit, the president was accompanied by his wife, First Lady Iriana Jokowi and his daughter.

Kahiyang Ayu will be marrying Muhammad Bobby Afif Nasution on Wednesday, November 8, in Solo, Central Java. The wedding ceremony will also be held in Medan, North Sumatra, where Bobby came from, that is planned to be held on November 24, 25, 26.

They will invite 8,000 guests coming from different layers of society such as government officials, general society, until volunteers. The distribution of the invitations will be started tomorrow morning, said Jokowi after the meeting with Jusuf Kalla.
