Actress Safitri Triesjaya Crespin Arrested on Drug Charges

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Actress, model Safitri Triesjaya Crespin has been arrested on drug charges Jakarta Metro Police Drug Investigation Unit head Jean Calvijn Simanjuntak said. The actress was nabbed in her house in Tangerang City after a tip-off to police by a driver of ride-hailing service.
“A suspect with the initials of SF, an actress, bought crystal meth from a person who is now at large with the initial of A. The latter has repeatedly had transacted with SF. They agreed [that drugs] would be delivered by online taxi services,” police said on Sunday night.
Police said that the drug dealer stopped an online motorcycle taxi driver and asked him to send a package and gave him Rp300,000.
The driver opened the package that contained a tobacco pipe and 0.5 grams of crystal meth. Police later came to the address of the package.
Cops searched the suspect’s home and found two brown paper bags containing 86.54 grams of meth, 1 pack of rolling papers, 1 bong and two mobile phones.
Suspect Safitri Triesjaya Crespin claimed that she had starred in movies, television films, named an ambassador of a Malaysian beauty product. “She also featured in photo shoots and fashion catalogs.
