TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Singapore -based budget carrier Scoot launched a new flight route connecting Palembang and Singapore to be served four times a week. The first flight will be served on November 23, using Airbus A320.
Scoot Chief Commercial Officer Vinond Kannan said in Jakarta on Thursday, October 19, that Palembang was chosen as the airline’s destination following three destinations served by Scoot in Indonesia.

On the same date, Scoot will also increase its flight frequency for the Singapore-Denpasar route to three times a day. Due to increasing demands, the additional flight will take off at noon in Singapore and land in Denpasar in the afternoon.
The flight frequency from and to Surabaya will also be increased from six to seven times a week. With such changes, Scoot will serve 53 flights from and to Indonesia on a weekly basis, increasing from 41 flights, Kannan revealed.
Kannan added Singapore's Tigerair that does not operate under Scoot’s management serves flights to destinations in Asia-Pacific countries, such as Saudi Arabia, Australia, China, India, Greece, and the United States.
