TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian athletes won one wushu gold and two silver medals in SEA Games 2017 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on Monday.
A gold medal in wushu was secured by Felda Elvira Santoso after leading the score at 9.67 in Women’s Daoshu. In the event, Indonesia’s Monica Pransisca Sugianto also won a silver medal.
More silver medal was won by Achmad Hulaefi in Men’s Daoshu, losing by only a small margin to Singapore’s Si Wei Jowen Lim.
“To be honest, I’m not satisfied with the silver medal,” Hulaefi said. “My targets were the daggers and staff [events]; I missed the targets.”
Having won the additional three medals, Indonesia remains in the fifth position in the medal table of SEA Games 2017.
