Minister Susi revealed that SKPT developments in outer islands have been hampered by transportation issues and construction costs.
One of the SKPTs to be opened in the near future is SKPT Natuna in the northern part of Indonesia.
“If it’s possible, President [Joko Widodo] will inaugurate it in October or November,” she said.
According to Minister Susi, the development of basic facilities at SKPT Natuna was expected to be completed in July. However, they have been fully operational ahead of schedule on June 1.
