TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Maritime and Fishery Minister Susi Pudjiastuti said Japan will provide Indonesia with facilities and equipment needed by the fishery sector. The grant is in the form of coastal radar and integrated marine and fisheries centers (SKPT).
"Inside, there will be ports, fish markets, and cold storages. Japan plans to build them in six locations. I asked them to build one in Natuna," Susi said when visiting Natuna Regency, Riau Islands on Monday, August 7.

Susi said Japan will give the grants in 2018, and that the signing ceremony between the two nations will be held in November this year.
"The JICA (Japan International Corporation Agency) will be the one to work on it," she said.
Susi wants the aid from Japan to help her actualize the plan of building 12 SKPTs this year in Natuna, Saumlaki, Merauke, Mentawai, Nunukan, Talaud, Morotai, Biak Numfor, Mimika, Rote Ndao, Sumba Timur, and Sabang.
The minister said that an integrated marine and fishery center in Natuna will be inaugurated soon; around October or November.
