TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Kebayoran Lama police headquarters not only secured an ISIS flag but also found a threatening letter that was placed inside an empty water bottle. The letter contained threats addressed to the national police force, Indonesian Armed Forces (TNI), Densus 88 counterterrorism team, and Banser Nahdalatul Ulama.
The letter also mentioned about shaping Jakarta into the next Marawi, Philippines. “The war has been waged, we will make Jakarta the next Marawi.”

The letter urged police to stop considering them as terrorists, it also stated: “You are basically the real terrorist because you have killed and captured Muslims and our Ulamas.”
Jakarta Metro Police spokesman Comr Raden Prabowo Argo Yuwono confirmed that they received such letter. Police are currently hunting down the perpetrators and checking CCTV footage.
Earlier today, an ISIS flag was discovered in the front gate of the Kebayoran Lama police headquarter in South Jakarta.
“That is correct, around 05:30 am a police personnel discovered a flag bearing Arabic words Lailahaillahaillallah on it, which highly resembles the ISIS symbol,” said South Jakarta Police Criminal Investigation Unit Comr. Alam Nur today, July 4.
According to Alam, a police personnel saw a man riding a motorcycle who suddenly stopped in front of the police headquarter. The alleged perpetrator left the scene in a hurry once the police personnel walked toward the man.
