Obama to Visit Bogor Botanical Garden Today

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Former president of the United States Barack Obama will visit Bogor Botanical Garden to meet President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). They will have a luncheon at Green Garden Café.

Jokowi and family have indeed been residing at the Bogor Palace which is located adjacent to Bogor Botanical Garden instead of the State Palace or the Merdeka Palace in central Jakarta.

“I was just told by the Presidential Security Force chief that Bogor Botanical Garden is closed today,” said Upun Punijar, the garden’s administrator.

Obama will be at Bogor Botanical Garden around 3 pm local time before visiting the Bogor Palace.

Obama, his wife Michelle and daughters Malia and Sasha are having a vacation in Indonesia since June 23. They spent most of their time in Bali, Yogyakarta, and Jakarta.
