TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - House of Representative (DPR) Speaker, Setya Novanto, demand that political parties should not implicate President Jokowi in the Election Draft Bill (RUU) discussion. He argues that the Bill should only be discussed exclusively between political parties.
The urge to drag President Jokowi into the election draft bill discussion emerged following a deadlock in reaching a collective agreement regarding the presidential threshold. House members pushed for a meeting to take place between the President and political party leaders to conjure up a solution.
