TEMPO.CO, Bogor - President Joko Widodo or Jokowi kicked - off his work trip on his birthday by distributing 3,000 packages of nine basic necessities, locally known as sembako. The President’s team paid a visit to South Bogor, West Java, on their work trip.
The event was well received by local residents who were already waiting for the President’s arrival to the location.

As soon as Jokowi arrived, the team and the president himself directly distributed the sembako while once in a while interacting with the locals who did not forget to wish the seventh Indonesian President a happy birthday.
“Thank you Pak Jokowi for the gift. I don’t know what’s in it, I haven’t checked though I still thank you and happy birthday, Pak,” said Puji, one of the locals present at the event.
President Jokowi was accompanied by his family; his wife Iriana Widodo and his two children Kaesang and Kahiyang.
Cabinet Secretary, Pramono Anung, and the Public Works and Housing Minister, Basuki Hadimuljono, were also present in the event.
The group plans to continue their work trip to neighboring locations where Jokowi will also engage in sembako distribution.
