West Sumatra Police to Implement Shoot on Sight to Drug Dealers

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Tanah Datar, West Sumatra Police chief AKBP Bayuaji Yudha Prajas claimed that the police under West Sumatra jurisdiction will implement shoot on sight to drug dealers or suppliers.
"Since our region has been declared drug-abuse state of emergency meaning that our region is no longer a place for drug distribution but it is also a place of drug supply, then we will implement shoot on sight for drug dealers or suppliers," he said in Batusangkar on Saturday (10/6).

The police chief is greatly concerned with the escalation of drug cases in his jurisdiction and he will do his best to get to the bottom of this issue. He explained that on Saturday afternoon (10/6) at around 3.30, two users and a dealer of crystal methamphetamine and dry marijuana were arrested in Jorong Simpuruik, Nagari Simpuruik, Sungai Tarab district.
"Based on a tip-off from local residents that drug party is frequently held in a the house of a resident called Agus Bianto (45) in Jorong Simpuruik, we conducted a raid and Agus was found with his partner David Ramli (39), a resident of Nagari Rambatan," Bayu said.
After a search, the police found evidence of two small packets of crystal methamphetamine, two packets of dry marijuana and a bong.
He mentioned that the two people are named as suspects and they are held in Tanah Datar police station for further investigation.
