TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Metro Police have denied intimidating Kak Emma, alias Fatimah Husein Assegaf, a witness in alleged pornography case implicating the FPI leader Rizieq Syihab and Firza Husein.
“No [intimidation],” Jakarta Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Raden Prabowo Argo Yuwono said yesterday, May 18, in Jakarta.
Argo said that witness interrogations are carried out in rooms equipped with CCTV cameras. He said that the CCTV footage could prove the suspected intimidation against Kak Emma.
“In [questioning Emma] there were interactions; we posed questions, she answered, we recorded it. There was no intimidation,” he reiterated.
Emma earlier claimed that she was being intimidated by the police during her questioning. She said that interrogators told her to confirm the alleged pornographic chats implicating Firza Husein and FPI’s Rizieq Syihab. The police have named Firza a suspect, whereas Rizieq had yet to be questioned because he is currently abroad.
