TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Thousands of Buddhists this morning, May 11, celebrated Vesak Day at the Borobudur Temple in Magelang, Central Java. The rituals include bell-ringing, splashing of holy water and meditation in anjali position.
Monk Tadisa Paramita Mahasthariva in his sermon said that Vesak is not confined to rituals of prayers only.
