Jusuf Kalla to Receive Honorary Doctorate from Thai University

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Vice President Jusuf Kall will tomorrow receive an honorary doctorate from the Rajamanggala University of Technology Isan in Pathumthani, Bangkok, Thailand.

“Vice President Jusuf Kalla will receive honorary doctorate degree of business administration,” the Vice President deputy assistant secretary Rusmin Nuryadin said in a press statement on Tuesday, March 21, 2017.

Jusuf Kalla has previously received honorary doctorates from Soka University of Tokyo in 2009, the University of Malaya in 2007 and five honorary doctorates from local universities.

Rusmin added that the honorary degree would be awarded by Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn at Graduation Hall together with 2000 graduates.

VP Jusuf Kalla is also scheduled to pay a courtesy visit to Thai Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-Ocha and meet Indonesian citizens in Thailand.

Jusuf Kalla departed for Thailand this morning by State Plane Boeing 737-400. JK will return to Indonesia on Thursday, March 23, 2017.
