Police Appoints Investigators for Antasari Azhar Report

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Sr. Comr. Martinus Sitompul, Chief of Public Information of the National Police, stated that the reports filed by former Chief of the Corruption Eradication Commission Antasari Azhar has been handed over to the general crime division to be investigated.
"[The report] is being examined whether it constitutes a crime or not. If it is then it will be investigated," Martinus said at his office on Friday, February 17, 2017.
Martinus said that if the report is going to be investigated, the Police will begin searching for evidence and suspects. "A team has been established to examine the report, we will wait because it is related to evidence and other occurrences," Martinus said.
Previously, Antasari filed a report to the Criminal Investigation Division of the National Police on Tuesday, February 14, 2017. The report stated that the case involving Antasari was deliberately fabricated.
