TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) is targeting the number of passengers in 2017 to go up to 185 million. The target is 50 percent higher compared to last year which about 123.6 million.
President Director of PT Transjakarta, Budi Kaliwono, admitted that indeed it is a large target. However, the target is an analysis from passengers number's chart which trend is rising each year. Budi said he had set a high target so that they would work harder for achieving it.
Meanwhile, Director of Operations PT Transjakarta, Daud Joseph, added that to reach the target, they will continue to increase the quantity of buses. From only 1,056 units to 2,590 units. Not only that, PT Transjakarta also will add routes, from 80 to 152 routes.
"We are planning to add new routes, such as Cileduk to Semanggi, Cileduk to Pancoran, Bintaro to Blok M and so on," he closed.
