2017 Economic Growth Expected to Reach 5.1 Percent, Minister Says

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) predicted that the national economic growth in 2017 will reach around 5.1 to 5.3 percent.
Speaking before reporters in Jakarta on Saturday, Minister of National Development Planning/Bappenas Head Bambang Permadi Brodjonegoro said: "Economic growth in 2017 is predicated to be between 5.1-5.3 percent,"
According to Bambang, the estimation is still with the assumption that Indonesia’s economy is still dominated by domestic consumption.
In the meantime, global economic turbulence, he added, is still cannot be predicted yet in terms of the impact and the extent in affects the national economy.
Nevertheless, Bambang believes national economic is still able to grow by 5.1 percent in 2017 even amidst global economic turbulence.
