Jokowi Begins Working Visit to Banten; Celebrates Eid in Banten

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo  on Sunday (11/9) begins a working visit to Banten province to visit a number of public health facilities in several regencies in the province.

According to the agenda released by the Presidential Secretariat, the President and First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo was scheduled to depart from the Bogor Palace at around 10:00 am on Sunday.

Ministers who who will accompany the President are among others Health Minister Nila F Moeloek and Banten l Governor Rano Karno.

Jokowi will visit community health centers in Warunggunung and Baros in Lebak Regency and a community health center in Kaduhejo, Pandeglang Regency.

Jokowi is also scheduled to meet with residents in Margaluyu, Karanghantu and Sawah Luhur villages in Kasemen district, Serang.

In addition, President Jokowi on Sunday afternoon is scheduled to perform a takbir akbar (mass prayer) together with people in Banten at Al Bantani mesque to welcome this year’s Eid al-Adha (Muslim day of sacrifice).

The president is also scheduled to perform Eid al-Adha prayer at Ats-Tsauroh Great Mosque in Pegantungan, Serang on Monday (12/9) and hand sacrificial animals in the form of a cow weighing 800 kilograms.
