Jokowi Receives King Abdul Azis Medal  

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta- President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo receives the King Abdul Aziz Medal awarded at the Al-Salam Diwan Malaki Palace. Earlier Saturday, September 12, the President met Islamic Development Bank (IDB) president Ahmed Ali Al-Madani and Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) secretary general Iyad Madani.

“The President will visit the Al-Salam Diwan Malaki Palace to attend official ceremony and to have lunch with Saudi Arabia’s King,” Ari Dwipayana, a member of the Presidential Communication Team, said in Jakarta on Saturday.

Jokowi was also scheduled to lead the Indonesian delegation in a meeting with the Saudi’s delegation before attending a number of business meetings with business owners from both countries at the Hotel Crown Plaza.

Jokowi will also spend the rest of the evening to meet Saudi Arabia’s Finance Minister, Foreign Affairs Minister and Manpower Minister.

Earlier, President Jokowi departed for Middle East to visit Saudi Arabia, United Emirate Arab and Qatar.
