TEMPO.CO, Pekalongan - One of the companies linked to the family of Banten Governor Ratu Atut Chosiyah has allegedly reaped a number of projects in Banten this year despite the fact the company was blacklisted by the National Public Procurement Agency (LKPP) from September 5, 2012 to September 5, 2014.
The LKPP "blocked" Tria Laksana Jaya, the name of the blacklisted company, after receiving a report from the People’s Housing Ministry that stated the company was in default for stepping back after signing a contract. Based on Tempo’s investigation, company owner H. Memet is the husband of Iyah, Atut’s cousin, who is also a commissioner at Tria Laksana Jaya.
Due to the company being blacklisted, the Public Works Ministry revoked Tria Laksana’s victory in a road reconstruction project bid last July worth Rp14.980 billion. However, the company is surprisingly still undergoing a number of projects in Banten.
LKPP e-procurement director Tatang Rustandar, said a company that is on the blacklist is prohibited from being involved in any projects. If they managed to win a tender that means the tender process must have been rigged.
"This is a chance for the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to investigate this irregularity," he said.
The KPK is currently in the middle of looking into indications of irregularities in projects linked to Atut’s family following the graft case that hit her younger brother, Tubagus Chaeri Wardana, and also involved non-active Constitutional Court chief justice Akil Mochtar.
