TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan has received Jakarta Ombudsman`s final report (LHAP) on the governor`s Tanah Abang revamp program.
The governor said that he plans to discuss the report together with leaders of the city’s regional working units (SKPD) before issuing his official stance towards the recommendation contained in the LHAP.
“We will review the report and hold a meeting with regional working units. We will sort it and decide the next step after,” said Anies Baswedan at Jakarta’s Legislative Council (DPRD) on Wednesday, March 28.

The Jakarta Ombudsman mainly focused on the Governor decree to close a section of a public road Jl. Jatibaru Raya at the Tanah Abang area, which was then used to accommodate street vendors.
Head of Ombudsman`s Jakarta office Dominikus Dalu said that they found four possible maladministrations in the governor’s policy. He asked the Jakarta administration to fix the policy by restoring the road’s original function within 60 days. If Anies Baswedan decides to disobey the LHAP, the Jakarta Ombudsman will recommend it to the National Ombudsman and raise the report’s status.
Anies Baswedan was unwilling to respond to Dominikus’ statement and only provided a partial answer. “There would be no simple response, we will respond to this thoroughly considering that this is a complete report. We appreciate the Ombudsman for their hard work,” he said.
