TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan said that Jakarta Ombudsman representative does not have the authority to issue a recommendation for the recent Tanah Abang policy.

“Remember that this is the representative of the state level Ombudsman. They are two different entities. [The Jakarta Ombudsman] is a representative, who has the authority here?” said Anies Baswedan in South Jakarta today, March 27.

The same sentiment was issued by the Legislative Council (DPRD) Deputy Tri Wisaksana, also known as Sani, who said that the Jakarta Ombudsman does not have the authority to issue a recommendation since that they are just a representative.

Sani also argues that Jakarta Ombudsman's final report was overly-subjective.

However, Anies said that he will study the Ombudsman's report that focused on his policy in revamping Tanah Abang area. He also said that he would soon respond to the final report soon.

Jakarta Ombudsman task executor Dominikus Dalu revealed that they found four possible maladministrations within Anies Baswedan’s Tanah Abang policy that offered some space for street vendors by closing the access of a public road at Jl. Jatibaru Raya in Tanah Abang.
