TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The government of Gunung Kidul regency in Yogyakarta, is set to build a new airport if the land in KulonProgo regency which was planned to be the location of the new airport, could not be acquired because of an ongoing dispute with local residents.
Immawan Wahyudi, Vice Regent of Gunung Kidul stated that the construction of an airport in the regency will increase improve its economic and tourism sector.
Immawan added that residents of Gunung Kidul would have no objections regarding the construction of the airport.
