Pertamina Guarantees 3-Kg LPG Supplies

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – State-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina has secured supplies as well as the price of 3-kilogram LPG canisters, Pertamina marketing and commercial director Ahmad Bambang said on Tuesday, March 3, 2015.

Ahmad called on public not to panic since 3-kilogram LPG canisters would be available at Pertamina’s gas stations. 

Ahmad added that Pertamina was ready to roll out market operations to address the scarcity of 3-kilogram LPG canisters. Pertamina has also prepared a call center at its headquarters and branch offices. 

Ahamd also asked the public to report any indication of irregularities. “Please report immediately if there is a station that sells [LPG] above the highest retail price set by the regional government,” he said.

Earlier, Pertamina decided to increase the price for 12-kilogram non subsidized LPG by Rp5,000 per canister. The price climbed from Rp129,000 to Rp134,000 beginning March 1, 2015.
