TEMPO.CO, Milan - AC Milan manager Filippo Inzaghi, praised Japanese player Keisuke Honda for scoring two goals against Hellas Verona at Marc Antonio Bentegodi Stadium last night. Inzaghi told Football Italia that he has spoken to the player on August, convinced that Honda can be a game changer for Milan.
Honda scored a brace in 3-1 victory last night, amid his new position. The player, originally an attacking midfielder, was playing as a winger, has scored six goals in seven matches this season.
Inzaghi said that Milan needed a left-footed player in order to carry out the 4-3-3 formation. The former player believed that Honda can be the man for the position, a gamble which later proven to be solid.
