TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Gigih Wahyu Hari Irianto, Vice President of Domestic Gas of Pertamina, expected that the government to immediately decide the non-subsidy liquid petroleum gas (LPG) price. "This relates to Pertamina finance as the corporation suffers Rp6 trillion losses," Gigih told Tempo.
He added that as a corporation, Pertamina should not suffer financial loss for selling non-subsidy products. However, Gigih said that the government is yet to sign any price hike.
Earlier last week, Coordinating Minister of Economy Chairul Tanjung said to have received letter from Pertamina concerning the price hike of 12-kilogram LPG canisters. However, Minister Chairul said that he will need to consult to president, before approving any price hike.
