The Airport Council International reported remarkable aircraft activity in airports based on its comprehensive data. In 2023, global passenger traffic reached 8.7 billion, driven largely by international travel. ACI World, as the Airport Council International is also known, conducted an extensive survey across more than 2,700 airports in over 185 countries, involving its global network of airport operators, aviation stakeholders, and investors.

President-elect Prabowo Subianto said there’s no need to worry for Indonesia once it achieves food and energy security. He even mentioned that Indonesia would not have to fear anyone in the world. 

Food-energy, these are the keys. Once we are food-secure and energy-secure, we don’t have to fear anyone. We don’t have to worry about Rupiah (exchange rate),” he said during the closing of the National Mandate Party Congress on Saturday, August 24, 2024. “Let’s secure the food and energy first before downstream.”

3. Indonesia to Build Solar Power Plants in Maluku Province

Indonesia's Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources is seeking to provide power to underdeveloped, frontier, and outermost (3T) areas by building centralized solar power plants (PLTS) in Maluku Province.

Head of Energy at the Energy and Mineral Resources Office of Maluku, Said Latupono, said on Saturday, August 24, 2024, that the centralized PLTS have a total capacity of 99 kilowatt-peak (kWp) and are currently in the process of being constructed using funding from the 2024 state budget.
