TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Pope Francis will return to the Vatican today, Friday, September 13, 2024. The Pope will end his apostolic journey in Singapore after visiting Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, and Timor Leste.
Pope Francis will depart from Changi International Airport on a Singapore Airlines plane at around 11:00 a.m. local time, bound for the Leonardo da Vinci Airport in Rome.
According to the schedule, the Pope will arrive in Rome at around 07:00 p.m. local time. Before heading back to Rome, the Pope visits the youth community and interreligious groups in Singapore.
Pope Francis also meets with sick people and marginalized groups before heading to Changi Airport. During his flight, the Bishop of Rome will entertain journalists who follow his journey from the Vatican and back.
The Pope allocates 30 minutes to answer questions from several journalists on the flight. Some journalists have exchanged information since morning, they are preparing questions for Pope Francis.
After the historic 12-day journey across several Southeast Asian countries, Pope Francis will return to his routine in the Vatican. The Pope admitted this is his longest series of visits.
