Whoosh Offers 17% Discount for Indonesian Independence Day Trips

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China, or KCIC, offers a 17 percent discount for the high-speed train Whoosh passengers to commemorate Indonesia’s 79th Independence Day. 

General Manager Corporate Secretary of KCIC Eva Chairunisa said the discount applies to Premium Economy class from Jakarta (Halim Station) and Bandung (Padalarang Station or Tegalluar Station), on all Whoosh trips departing Saturday, August 17, 2024.

"Ticket reservation for departure on August 17, 2024, is available,” she said in an official statement on Tuesday, August 6.

To get a discount, prospective passengers are only required to purchase the tickets on the Whoosh application, the website of ticket.kcic.co.id, directly at Ticket Vending Machine and ticket counters at the station, as well as partner applications such as Acces by KAI, Livin’ by Mandiri, BRImo, and BNI Mobile Banking. 

As many as 48 Whoosh trips on August 17 will receive a discount with a total of 26,640 Premium Economy seats or 555 seats for each trip. 

The Independence Day promo is unable to be combined with other discounts such as the Frequent Whooser Card. The discounted tickets can still be subject to cancellation and rescheduling per applicable rules.

Eva said the promo is intended to encourage the rise of domestic tourist visits. "KCIC strives to provide the best services and innovation. Through this promo, we hope more people can experience the comfort and speed of traveling with the Whoosh high-speed train," said Eva.
