TEMPO.CO, JakartaBekasi is one of the cities in the province of West Java, which is located next to Jakarta. This city is known as an industrial and commercial area. But Bekasi also has interesting tourist destinations that must be visited. 

The following are five tourist destinations in Bekasi that must be visited:

  1. Beting Beach

Many people do not know that Bekasi has beaches. One of them is Muara Beting Beach or Beting Beach in Muara Gembong sub-district, Bekasi Regency. This beach offers beautiful brownish sand, a quiet atmosphere, and a mangrove conservation area of 70 hectares.

Apart from enjoying the beauty of the quiet beach, visitors can also explore the mangrove forest. If you want to visit this beach, you should come when the sun is setting.

  1. Bekasi City Forest

According to bekasikota.go.id, Bina Bangsa Urban Forest or Bekasi Urban Forest is the largest urban park in Bekasi, officially established in 2012. The city forest is located near the Bekasi Patriot Candrabhaga Stadium at Jalan Ahmad Yani No. 2, Kayuringin Jaya, South Bekasi.

The forest is the lungs of the city of Bekasi as it houses over 7,000 trees. This forest is also facilitated with a park, jogging track, playground, and prayer room.

  1. Gedung Juang 45 Museum

Citing bekasikab.go.id, the Gedung Juang 45 Museum is located at Jalan Sultan Hasanudin in Setiadarma, South Tambun Sub-district, Bekasi. The historical tourism is open every day at 09:00-17:00 local time for free. The museum has become an icon of Bekasi Regency that can be passed on to the next generation. This museum is also a silent witness of the struggle of the people of Bekasi from before independence to the defense of independence. This tourist destination is suitable for all groups to visit, especially children so that they can learn about the regional history.

  1. Saung Ranggon

Citing cikedokan.sidepe web page, Saung Ranggon was built around the 16th century by Prince Rangga, son of Prince Jayakarta. Then, in 1821, the site known as Saung Ranggon was discovered by Raden Abbas.

Saung Ranggon was also part of the Bekasi community's resistance against the Dutch East Indies colonial government. This hut in the form of a stilt house is recognized by the local community as the oldest building in Bekasi, located in Cikedokan Village, West Cikarang, Bekasi Regency. Saung Ranggon stands on 500 square meters of land with dimensions of 7.6 meters long, 7.2 meters wide, and 2.5 meters high.

  1. Situ Rawa Gede Bekasi

Based on the Instagram account @kpplsiturawagede, Situ Rawa Gede Bekasi is open every Monday to Thursday from 08:00-19:00 local time, while on holidays it is open from 07:00-21:00. This tourist destination is located not far from the center of Bekasi City, specifically in Bojong Menteng, Rawalumbu District, Bekasi City.

This destination offers a variety of interesting photo spots, children's playgrounds and water games. Visitors only need to pay an entrance ticket of Rp5,000 to enjoy the facilities at Situ Rawa Gede Bekasi.
