Phase 1 Construction for Indonesia's Football Team Training Center in New Capital at 90% Completion

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The phase 1 construction of the Indonesian national football team training center in the Nusantara Capital City (IKN) is 90 percent complete. Additionally, the construction of the dormitory has reached 92 percent completion, the natural field is at 90 percent completion, and the synthetic turf field construction is 89 percent complete.
As reported by an official statement on Sunday, the FIFA delegation expressed their appreciation for the training center construction. "PSSI is committed to accelerating TC (Training Center) development for a better transformation of Indonesian football. We are also grateful for the support by the government and FIFA Forward," said the Indonesian Football Association PSSI General Chair Erick Thohir.
The TC development in Indonesia's new capital is one of the efforts of the government, PSSI, and in collaboration with FIFA to improve the quality and achievements of Indonesian football.
With international standard facilities, players and coaching staff will train in a supportive environment, equipped with the latest infrastructure and the best training methods.
The TC construction project received a grant from FIFA Forward worth US$1.25 million or Rp19.2 billion. During phase 1, the construction is focused on natural grass fields, synthetic turf fields, dormitories, and player changing rooms.
The total capacity of the dormitories in this phase is 70 people, consisting of 28 twin rooms for players, 10 single rooms for the coaching team, and 3 suites for the head coach.
