BMKG Forecasts Partly Cloudy Morning in Greater Jakarta

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency or BMKG released the weather forecast in Greater Jakarta today, Monday, April 29, 2024. In the morning, the entirety of Jakarta will be greeted by a partly cloudy sky. The weather will last throughout the afternoon in Central Jakarta, North Jakarta, and the Seribu Islands.

Meanwhile, West Jakarta, South Jakarta, and East Jakarta will be cloudy which turns into a drizzle in the evening. The rest of Jakarta will be partly cloudy in the afternoon and cloudy in the evening. 

According to BMKG, partly cloudy weather will cover Greater Tangerang; Tangerang City, Serpong (South Tangerang City), and Tigaraksa (Tangerang Regency). They are expected to remain partly cloudy this afternoon. In the evening, Tigaraksa will have a drizzle while the rest are cloudy. 

Cloudy weather is expected for the rest of the Greater Jakarta region in Bekasi, Depok, Cibinong (Bogor Regency), and Bogor City this morning. Rain potential will occur this afternoon, except for Bekasi which will remain cloudy. 

A drizzle is expected in Depok and Cibinong. However, the city of Bogor will potentially be drenched in a heavy downpour with lightning. 

The medium rain potential will persist overnight in all regions except for Bekasi, which is expected to have a drizzle. 

BMKG releases early weather warnings for parts of Bogor Regency and City, Depok City, and Bekasi Regency. "Be vigilant to isolated and short downpours with lightning and strong winds in the mid-afternoon to late evening."
