TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The one-way traffic system from Kilometer 72 of the Cipali Toll Road to KM 414 of the Kalikangkung Toll Gate was extended until 24:00 WIB on Monday, April 8.
Faiza Riani, head of the Corporate Communication and Community Development Group at state-owned toll road operator Jasa Marga, said this was because of the heavy traffic of Eid homecoming vehicles from Jakarta to Semarang.
“It is also predicted that the increase in traffic will continue until the morning (Monday, April 8),” Faiza said in a written statement on Sunday evening, April 7.
She also explained that the contraflow traffic system would be applied from KM 47 to KM 70 of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road towards Cikampek, one-way traffic policy from KM 70 of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road to KM 414 Kalikangkung toll gate of the Batang-Semarang Toll Road, and a one-way traffic policy from KM 428 Jatingaleh of the Semarang Toll Road, ABC Section to KM 442 Bawen toll gate of the Semarang-Solo Toll Road.
“The traffic diversion is situational and at the police discretion. “Road users are advised to be cautious at all times and obey the instructions of the officers in the field,” Faiza underlined.
Jasa Marga also urged road users to download the Travoy application to get the latest traffic information or via the official social media, or contact the One Call Center at 14080.
