TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Pertamina International Shipping (PIS) guarantees a smooth supply of fuel at ports, bunkers, and depots ahead of the Eid homecoming season. PIS said 6 strategic terminals are now under its management.
PIS Corporate Secretary Muh. Aryomekka Firdaus ensures smooth operations at the port by intensely coordinating with government agencies related to immigration, excise, quarantine, and port authorities.
In addition, Firdaus also said that PIS also maintains timeliness by minimizing the waiting period due to bunkering and at the same time ensuring the quality of ship bunkers. "We also monitor the position of the ship more intensely," he said in a written statement, on Wednesday, March 27, 2024.
Furthermore, he also said that PIS monitors the distribution of fuel and LPG regularly. PIS, he said, also coordinates with all parties related to mitigation and anticipation in the event of a surge in demand at a terminal.
In terms of ship readiness, he explained, monitoring is carried out digitally with applications and technology to detect developments in the situation, including anticipating in the event of emergencies and other risks.
"Digitized monitoring systems are also prepared to detect emergencies, fraud detection, and weather forecasts," he said.
