TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo alias Jokowi left for Central Sulawesi today, March 2, to inaugurate a number of infrastructure projects and visit traditional markets.
According to a press release from the Press, Media, and Information Bureau of the Presidential Secretariat, the President took off from the Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in Jakarta aboard the Indonesia-1 Presidential Aircraft at around 06:50 WIB (Western Indonesia Time).
He was accompanied by Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Minister of Public Works and Housing Basuki Hadimuljono, Military Secretary to the President Major General Rudy Saladin, and Presidential Security Detail (Paspampres) Commander Major General Achiruddin.
Upon arrival at Syukuran Aminuddin Amir Airport, Banggai Regency, the state head resumed his journey using the Indonesian Air Force's Super Puma helicopter to Banggai Islands Regency to inaugurate regional roads as the implementation of the Presidential Instruction and visit a traditional market.
After completing the activities in Banggai Islands Regency, the President will return to Syukuran Aminuddin Amir Airport and then fly to Mutiara SIS Al-Jufri Airport, Palu City.
In Palu, Jokowi will inaugurate the rehabilitation and reconstruction of Mutiara SIS Al-Jufri Airport, several other airports, the Anutapura Medical Center (AMC) building at the Anutapura Regional Hospital, and several other infrastructures.
