TEMPO.CO, JakartaDeputy Head of Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team or TKN, Budiman Sudjatmiko, revealed the reason why the running pair number two reign supreme over his rivals in Central Java and Bali based on the quick count results. According to him, Prabowo-Gibran led due to his rivals’ mistakes.

“It’s an extraordinary victory and it’s not just because we have great supporters, but also a great rivals,” he said on Wednesday. He refused to elaborate on which “great rivals” he intended to mention.

According to Budiman, the support from President Joko Widodo or Jokowi toward Prabowo contributed greatly to his victory. However, in the case of Central Java and Bali, the victory was caused by the “great rivals”.

“A great person will indeed have a great impact, but their mistakes would also have great impacts,” he said.

“An ordinary person would not make much noise, but a great person would and that’s what led us to victory in Central Java and Bali,” he added.

So far, polling stations across Indonesia are still counting the votes. Meanwhile, quick count results have pointed to Prabowo-Gibran as the lead during this presidential election.
