TEMPO.CO, Batam - Rainy weather was expected in Batam City, Riau Islands, during the long holiday beginning on Thursday, May 8, the Ascension Day of Jesus Christ, and ending with joint leave on Friday, May 9. Tourists are urged to stay up-to-date with the weather updates issued by the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG).
Tempo observed that the city’s weather has been unpredictable over the past week, with rain frequently drenching the region while other areas experience hot weather.
The rain not only caused traffic congestion but also posed a risk of flooding in several locations, including primary roads.
