TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Artificial Intelligence (AI) extends its grip on Indonesian politics. Yose Rizal, founder of PEMILU.AI introduced his products in Jakarta, on Thursday, July 20, 2023.

"PEMILU.AI, first generative AI technology-based campaign platform in the world," he said before the media.

The platform is designed to help political contestants in the 2024 General Elections with their campaign strategies. Yose explained that the platform utilized generative AI technology to give an impression of target regions, votes, strategy recommendations, target activity, and community in each district based on the critical issue popular in the area, and online news recommendations in the electoral districts.

Further, the platform is also able to generate campaign attributes such as slogans, speech narration, social media captions, advertisements, and campaign props. PEMILU.AI also provides a monitoring application for the political campaign staff.

Yose hoped that his team's ability to manage big data for years could guarantee the safety of this platform. He is confident about it since according to him, he is experienced in managing hundreds of clients prior to this. Politicawave by Mediawave, the agency which developed Social Media Monitoring & Analytics, is one of Yose's success stories. "When we first developed Politicawave, there were so many parties trying to breach our server. It's still safe to this day," said Yose.

In developing PEMILU.AI, he improved the security strategy and cooperate with a highly-secured partner. PEMILU.AI was launched by Politicawave by Mediawave, in partnership with Institute for Strategic Initiative. The platform is intended as a personal political consultant to help political contestants increase their chances to win the election.

Political campaign platform

CEO of PEMILU.AI, Lucky Djani, said that this platform is designed to analyze big data, such as political data, socio-economic data, demographic data, political contestants' personal data, and social media and online media data from the electoral districts. Thus, this platform will be able to give accurate microtargeting recommendations.

He ensured that the data was sourced legally. According to Lucky, PEMILU.AI will help the contestants understand the complexity of Indonesia's political landscape. "The General Election is dynamic and competitive, due to the diverse nature of its voters, this is often challenging for the contestants," he said.

Lucky hopes that the platform will be a new solutive innovation, to give an equal chance to all contestants, especially in realizing the public aspirations through an honest and equal election.

Lucky promised that this platform would not discriminate against any political contestants. "We're not partial to anyone," he said. Lucky also explained the price range for his products. The fee to enjoy the features of this platform is Rp29,000,000 for Regional Legislative candidates; Rp99,000,000 for Provincial Legislative candidates; Rp149,000,000 for candidates of the House of Representatives; and Rp249,000,000 for Regional Representatives Council (DPD). "The payment is one-off, not monthly,"  Lucky said.
