Brigadier J's Lawyer Wants Ferdy Sambo's Wife to Be Named Suspect

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Brigadier Nopryansah Yosua Hutabarat or Brigadier J’s lawyer Kamaruddin Simanjuntak urged the police to name Inspector General Ferdy Sambo's wife, Putri Candrawathi or PC, as a suspect. He assessed that PC played a role in the murder case of his client.
“She keeps pretending and committing obstruction of justice,” said Kamaruddin at the Police’s Criminal Investigation Unit (Bareskrim), South Jakarta, Tuesday, August 16, 2022.
Kamaruddin claimed he was invited by the Bareskrim’s high official to discuss the case today and voiced the demands about who should be named suspects. One of them is PC.
Kamaruddin also said he had asked for the opportunity to meet with PC several times. Yet, PC continuously refused the idea. He suspected that PC committed a malicious conspiracy and lied about being sexually harassed by Brigadier J as the reason behind the latter’s death.
Kamaruddin said he had analyzed the conversation between Brigadier J and Brigadier J's brother via Whatsapp with PC. According to him, the allegation of sexual harassment was not proven in the conversation. “We ask Ibu PC to be named a suspect immediately,” he underlined.
Kamaruddin also asked Bareskrim to name suspects for those who hid evidence related to this case. “Don't just charge them with a code of ethics violations,” he said.
