TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Brazilian football legend Ronaldinho arrived in Indonesia today, June 24, 2022. He was scheduled to attend a number of events, including the launch of the new jersey of RANS Nusantara football club for the 2022-2023 Indonesian Liga 1 competition.
According to RANS Nusantara FC via its Instagram account @rans.nusantara, Ronaldinho arrived at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport at around 16:20 Jakarta time. He was warmly welcomed by the club’s owners Raffi Ahmad and Rudy Salim.
Ronaldinho also planned to appear in the Trofeo or friendly match at Kanjuruhan Stadium, Malang Regency, East Java, on Sunday, June 26, 2022. On that occasion, Ronaldinho will represent RANS Nusantara FC and have a match with Persik Kediri and Arema FC.
Ronaldinho made his career debut for Gremio football club and decided to move to Europe to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in 2001. In 2003, the man, whose full name is Ronaldo de Assis Moreira, moved to the Spanish football giants Barcelona and lived a full five-year successful career.
During his time in Barcelona, Ronaldinho appeared in 207 matches, scoring 94 goals and 70 assists. Apart from that, he also helped the Blaugrana team win two Spanish League titles; two King's Cups and one Champions League.
After playing for Barcelona, the 2005 Ballon d'Or winner moved to the Italian League club AC Milan in 2008 and spent 2.5 years in San Siro. Ronaldinho represented his country and managed to clinch the 2002 World Cup held in South Korea and Japan.
