TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian national team managed to collect multiple gold medals in Wednesday’s SEA Games 2021 event. Up until this evening, Indonesian athletes won nine gold medals from a number of sporting events with more potential gold on the grab in future events.
Archery contributed the most towards Indonesia’s gold medal tally after winning four medals on Wednesday. It was followed by two golds in the Karate classes, and one each for paddling, taekwondo, and shooting.
The following is the complete gold medlars list for May 18 at the SEA Games:
- Men's recurve archery team (Alviyanto Prastyadi, Arif Dwi Pangestu, Riau Ega Agatha).
- Kano Putra K-4 (Tri Wahyu Buwono, Andri Agus Mulyana, Joko Andriyanto, Sutrisno).
- Shooting mixed team air rifles (Citra Dewi Resti and Fathur Gustafian).
- Archery with mixed team recurves (Rezza Octavia and Riau Ega Agatha).
- Rezza Octavia (women's individual recurve archery).
- Arif Dwi Pangestu (men's individual recurve archery).
- Ahmad Zigi Zaresta Yuda (Karate individual word number)
- Ari Saputra (Karate momor kumite 60 kg men)
- Muhammad Bassam Raihan (Men’s Taekwondo 63 kg).
With the addition of nine gold medals, for the time being, Indonesia has collected 36 golds, 48 silver medals, and 47 bronze medals.
This collection ranks Indonesia in fourth place in the SEA Games medal standings, behind Vietnam, Thailand, and the Philippines as of the publication of this article.
