TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The police closed the Puncak-Gadog route from Jakarta to Puncak, Bogor, West Java from 07:15 to 12:00 Western Indonesia Time today, May 7. This was aimed at reducing the potential for traffic density in the Puncak area.
"We implement the one-way traffic policy at 07:15, and predicted to last until 12:00," said Bogor Traffic Police Chief, Adj. Comsr. Dicky Anggi Pranata when met at Gadog intersection on Saturday, May 7, as quoted by Antara.
The closure is done exactly at Gadog intersection, so the cars heading to the Jagorawi toll exit and Bogor City cannot enter the Puncak area.
At 07:50, a traffic jam was visible until the toll gate, while from Bogor City, the congestion was predicted to reach Ciawi Market.
Later today after 12:00, the police will close the opposite route.
Dicky hopes that the travelers willing to visit Puncak could adjust their departure time to the set schedule of the one-way traffic policy.
Until today, Dicky said that he had not seen the surge of vehicles compared to the day before. However, the police officers will make sure that the traffic in Puncak is under control.
