Jakarta Logs Lower Active Covid-19 Cases on March 15

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Head of the Jakarta Health Agency disease prevention and control, Dwi Oktavia, said that Covid-19 cases in Jakarta as of Tuesday, March 15 grew by 1,571 from a total of 21,877 specimens tested.
“Out of the number of tests, 19,683 people who were PCR tested today resulted in 1,571 positives and 18,113 negative results,” said Oktavia on March 15.
Some 28,342 people who tested for coronavirus via antigen test resulted in 1,262 positives. However, antigen test samples are not included in the daily confirmed cases, as it must be exclusively done via PCR test.
Active Covid-19 cases have also dropped by 1,100 on Tuesday with 18,552 people currently being treated or are undergoing self-isolation due to exposure to the virus.
“We urge people to be alert about the spread of the new Omicron variant that has increased in Jakarta,” she added.
This adds to the grand total number of cases to 1,220,878 with 1,187,307 recoveries, and 15,019 deaths caused by Covid-19.
