Jokowi Inaugurates National Commission for Disabilities

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on Wednesday officially inaugurated members of the National Commission for Disabilities (KND) at the State Palace in Central Jakarta. This marks the inaugural step in composing KND members, a committee that had just been formed.
"So this is the first time this Committee has been formed and this is the first time this Committee has started working. Tomorrow marks the National Disability Day. So we commemorate at the same time,” said State Secretary Pratikno in a statement following the inauguration.
Members consist of:
- Dante Rigmalia, as member and chairperson;
- Deka Kurniawan, as deputy chairperson and member;
- Eka Prastama Widiyanta, as a member;
- Kikin Purnawirawan Tarigan Sibero, as a member;
- Fatimah Asri Mutmainah, as a member;
- Jonna Aman Damanik, as a member; and
- Rachmita Maun Harahap, as a member.
Present in the inauguration of the National Committee for Disabilities were Coordinating Minister of Human Development and Culture Muhadjir Effendy, State Secretary Pratikno, Social Affairs Minister Tri Rismaharini, and Presidential Special Staffer Angkie Yudistia.
