Police Hunt Down Mysterious Bintaro Toll Exit Shooter

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The South Jakarta criminal investigation unit confirmed that a shooting had happened in the area, specifically at the Jakarta outer ring road toll’s Bintaro exit gate, on Friday, November 26. Police say two victims were taken to a nearby hospital while the suspect remains on the run.
South Jakarta Police Chief Grand Commissioner Azis Andriansyah on Saturday, Nov 27, said investigators have obtained the identity of the shooter based on video recording recovered from a nearby CCTV. However, he noted that the sensitive information will not be made public until enough evidence is gathered.
“We have already obtained information [about the shooter], CCTV recordings, and the identity of the vehicle used by the perpetrator,” said Andriansyah to Antaranews reported, November 27. “We will not reveal it before it is completely clear.”
The one victim of the mysterious shooter is currently under intensive care at the Kramat Jati Hospital in Jakarta while the other unfortunately succumbed to injuries on Sunday, November 28.
