Jakarta Logs 92 New COVID-19 Cases, the Highest in Indonesia

TEMPO.CO, JakartaThe number of COVID-19 cases in Jakarta increased by 92 cases over the last 24 hours as of 12 p.m. Sunday, November 14, according to the Health Ministry’s date.

The capital city contributed the highest number in daily infections, followed by Central Java with 30 new cases, East Java with 28 new cases, West Kalimantan with 26 new cases, and West Java with 25 new cases.

The highest number of recovered cases also occurred in Jakarta with 109 recoveries, followed by West Java with 60 cases, Yogyakarta with 49 cases, and Central Java with 39 cases.

As for the death numbers, Jakarta recorded one case, Central Java two cases, East Java two cases, West Kalimantan one case, and West Java two cases.

On Sunday, Indonesia logged 339 new confirmed cases, bringing the total tally to 4,250,855 cases. The number of recoveries increased by 503 to 4,098,178 cases, while there were also 15 new death cases, causing the death toll to hit 143,659.

The COVID-19 task force’s spokesman Troy Pantouw appealed to the public to not neglect the health protocols albeit the virus case numbers have declined.
