Former President SBY Completes Prostate Cancer Surgery in U.S.

TEMPO.CO , Jakarta - Former President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, who is often referred to simply as SBY , on Thursday completed his early-stage prostate cancer surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota.
The sixth Indonesian president is currently accompanied by two of his sons Agus “AHY” Harimurti Yudhoyono and Edhie Baskoro Yudhoyono. The surgery was done on Thursday, November 11, at 07:45 local time, AHY announced through Twitter.
“The surgery finished around 10:00 and Alhamdulillah, it went smoothly with my father currently in a stable condition,” SHY tweeted.
Edhie also announced that the operation was completed without any complications and his father is now undergoing recovery.
SBY departed to the United States to seek treatment on November 2. He already reported his condition to President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo, which was responded positively and with presidential doctors accompanying the former president.
